  This is a picture of the Mt. Pinos campground taken from the road. There were snow patches like the ones in the foreground everywhere. While I did not try to walk through them I *think* they were about 2-4' this on average. Eventhough the valley was warm Pinos was not.

  Sure I didn't have time to walk around and photo everything. Ironically, the snow was built up most along the trail.

  i gotta think in 3 weeks that'll be gone. there may still be a chill in the air, though. maybe enough incentive to start my riding at 9am instead of 8am.

  Or even noon for that matter! :) It's going to be Brrrrrrr chilly overnight but mid-day it's typically in the 70's this time of year around there.

  yeah, will have to see what conditions are like the week leading up to the ride. check morning temps. 45 degrees plus and i'm good to ride.
