Cannell to reopen after the fire!

Cannell Trail in Kernville is set to reopen Saturday Aug. 7. The Forest Service is busy now repairing the part of the trail that burned. The burned part is about 3-4 miles at the bottom of the Plunge close to the highway. The vegetation in that area is mostly grass and sage. There was no loss of the trail in the high country. There is a shuttle scheduled for Saturday with seats available. I plan to go.
