Hey all,

I'm starting this discussion so that others can post questions, arrange camping, organize their shuttling opportunities, etc. for the upcoming Mt. Pinos camping / biking weekend. (Friday, May 21st through Sunday May 23rd.)

Details on the event are here:
http://www.mtboutdoor...

Specific things you may want to talk about include:

1) What day(s) are you planning to attend?
2) Where are you camping?
3) What time on each day do you want to start riding?
4) How many people / bikes can you transport up the hill in your vehicle?
5) Want to participate in the Saturday night potluck BBQ?
6) Want to do a night ride?
7) What level of rider would you consider yourself?
8) What's your cell phone number?
9) Planning to come do this ride next weekend? (May 28-30)
10) If we pooled up some cash to bribe Ashford to help us out with shuttles for the day, what would you be willing to contribute?

My replies:

1) What day(s) are you planning to attend?
For sure Saturday / Sunday, maybe Friday.

If no peeps, as many as 7-8 bikes. With peeps, 3 extra peeps, 3 extra bikes.

5) Want to participate in the Saturday night potluck BBQ?
Yes, I'm planning to either drive or ride down to McGill campground for the potluck dinner!

6) Want to do a night ride?
Refer to #5 above, if I ride down then yes!

7) What level of rider would you consider yourself?
Advanced, but not a crazy downhill maniac.

8) What's your cell phone number?
714-280-6253

9) Planning to come do this ride next weekend? (May 28-30)
Maybe

10) If we pooled up some cash to bribe Ashford to help us out with shuttles for the day, what would you be willing to contribute?
Up to $50 for the whole day

1 Mt. Pinos or McGill campground
2 for sure 2 days maybe Friday as well
3 8 am at the bottom is just fine
4 my car can hold 5 people and maybe one small guy in the back. My rack holds 4 bikes plus it is usually possible to tie one additional one on. I may however bring 2 bikes
5 not sure about a potluck?
6 totally up for a night ride but most everyone is toasted tired before the sun goes down and too drunk after dark. Maybe Friday night?
7 Good enough to get 10 runs in in a day at Mt Pinos
8 626 485-5163
9 Maybe, ski season is still going to be very active at Mammoth
10 I've found that using my car to shuttle all day uses a tank of gas. 50 might be a little steep but maybe? There may be a van and trailer available to rent and we supply a driver? Anyone interested in that?
