Mountain Bikers!
Be excited - we have a great line up for you this weekend!
Before we go into the weekend lineup, I wanted to take a moment to welcome
Peter to our organizational cadre. If you ride in Southern California, you have seen Peter bombing down the Gabrielino as well pedaling up his regular Sunday Morning ride at La Tuna Canyon. You beginners have been wanting a weekend beginner's ride - well now you have it! Do drop him a line and welcome him
http://www.mtboutdoors.com/members/8461925/We stacked the deck on Saturday -
GMR Downhill is in effect, Paul and his merry band of explorers are hitting up the Cannel Plunge one last time before Mother Nature shuts down the pass with a blanket of snow. Also - CORBA will be hosting their free Mountain bIking Skills Camp. If you are a newbie CORBA is a great place to start. Keep in mind the CORBA is a no-host event, that is the event is created, organized and run by CORBA.
Sunday come pedal
La Tuna Canyon with Peter and the crew. The options are numerous so whether you are a beginner or advanced rider you're gonna have a great time.
Elsewhere - there are rumors of people heading out on "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" but no details yet. . .
Coming up in December - we are headed back to
Santa Barbara.
Checkout some video from last time. We are gonna open the list to 14 riders but don't lolly gag - like some of you did last time. Once we are full we are full! If enough of you sign up early we will have a van there to take us up. Also if you don't want to drive we can fill up the van and carpool. Save the date December 27th.
We have a date for our first hands on bike tune up class. Tired of taking you bike to the shop and being at the mercy of their schedule? Ever pay for a tune up only to get your bike back just not working the way you want it? Why not learn how to tune up your bike with our in-house pro Chris Aragon? Save the date - Jan 03 - for this hands on bike clinic. . .
I almost forgot, we have worked out our first sponsorship
Columbia Clothing. More importantly, we got some great feedback from them regarding what we need to do as a group to step up to the next level of sponsorship. We need your help though -
We started the
SCOA Points Reward Program - that's right for posting photos, video and blogs - stuff you do already - you will earn points and become eligible for free day of shuttling or other SCOA adventures. Go to

In the spirit of giving and DeepavaliChristmasChanukahKwanzaaEidalAdha/the December Holidays, I am giving away a brand new Chris King NoThreadSet headset ($150 value).
