  • Hey Wayne, The camping at Pt. Mugu is right by the lot where your having your meetup. So you'd be camping at the beginning of the trail head. There's also a good hike up to the point with a gorgeous view of the beach.

I think it's about $35 per night, max of 8ppl and 3 cars per site.

  • Wayne. No worries @ Sun morn. I exlored the area a bit and definitely got in a good ride. 10 mins from my house so regardless I am glad I went.

  • I haven't been totally happy with the bontragers, they seem thin. So I've been thinking of getting a new pair. For future reference, what's your preferred tire/model? Also, picking up a set before this weekend might not be too big a deal. I have Amazon Prime which will overnight ship for only like 4 bucks.

  • Hm, I have two sets of tires. One is bontrager jones acx, the others are some Maxxis Hookworms. The maxxis are slicks, but work well for packed fire roads and such.

If neither of these are sufficient, what's a recommended tire that be more suitable than the Bontragers that I could get ahold of on short notice?
