Upper Santa Ana River Trail (SART)

This location is shown only to members

This is an intermediate to advanced level ride for people who have experience in riding for 4+ hours with over 2,000' of climbing on mostly single track trails. This is a shuttle ride, which means you must be able to transport one additional person and one additional bike in your vehicle. Carpool if you must, but be sure to leave room for one more body and bike! The more room you have, the better. People with big open bed trucks are our favorites for shuttles! A forest adventure pass is required to park just about anywhere up there.

Bring at least 100 oz of water plus hydration drinks and something to drink during the shuttle ride up. Be sure to fully hydrate yourself in the two days before this ride and eat more than you normally would. Bring food with you for the ride. We'll stop about once an hour to eat.

Elbow and knee guards are recommended. A full-face helmet and body armor are NOT recommended due to the hot weather. Save those for winter rides!

We'll meet at the Angeles Oaks Country Store where we'll all have breakfast, and then decide which cars to take up from there. If you would rather eat breakfast at home, meet us at 8AM.

Basic Stats:
Mileage: Approx. 17 miles
Climbing: Approx. 2,600'
Descent: Approx. 3,100'
Time: Approx. 5 hours
