We will be starting at the Chantry Flats parking lot. Take Santa Anita Dr. north from the 210 Fwy all the way to the end at the upper parking lot. From there we will take the single track that connects to the Wintercreek trail down into Santa Anita Canyon and back out to Chantry Flats. The loop is approximately 6 miles mostly single track. The trail is fairly technical and best done on a full suspension bike. There are 3 miles of climbing so I wouldn't suggest a big heavy bike. This ride will be entirely in the shade. We should easily be able to finish this ride in under 2 hours.
Bonus: I propose two laps, Sayurday Morning - it was damm good fun last weekend and certainly a better option than adding Mt Zion. Any interest? I can pick people up at the bottom if people don't have adventure passes?
We have a guest event leader. If you are interested in attending, sign up now. Plan ahead this ride is early and Matt starts on time. So. . .
Did the trail over the July 4 weekend. Great ride. Also a good start time to beat the hiking crowd and find a parking spot at the top. Don't forget the the Tecnu for all the PO. Hard to miss all it. Have a good ride.
