Chantry Flats single track loop

Chantry Flat (map)

Selected By: Chris Ashford

We had have to move this to 5PM start. The road to Chantry closes at 8PMnow! I know it doesn't work for all of you we will get ya next time.

We will be starting at the Chantry Flats parking lot. Take Santa Anita Dr. north from the 210 Fwy all the way to the end at the upper parking lot. From there we will take the single track that connects to the Wintercreek trail down into Santa Anita Canyon and back out to Chantry Flats. The loop is approximately 6 miles mostly single track. The trail is fairly technical and best done on a full suspension bike. There are 3 miles of climbing so I wouldn't suggest a big heavy bike. This ride will be entirely in the shade. We should easily be able to finish this ride in under 2 hours.

@Honzik75 - some people are fast some people are slow. It is all good. If you are a Noob, probably not the best place to start. Where do you normally ride? BTW - it really helps when you join to fill out the profile questions. I am just sayin'

Come on out Honzik75. We don't leave anyone on the trail. I've got a radio for you. It will be a fun ride. My number is posted on the event. Once we get in the hills, cell phones are no good so plan ahead.

What can I say that I haven't said before? Awesome single track, technical sections, lush forest, streams with water in them, few people in the shade from summer heat and a small group of riders. Magnificent! We talked of starting at 5:30 to allow more to join us?
