Chantry Flats single track loop

Chantry Flat (map)

Selected By: Chris Ashford

We had have to move this to 5PM start. The road to Chantry closes at 8PMnow! I know it doesn't work for all of you we will get ya next time.

We will be starting at the Chantry Flats parking lot. Take Santa Anita Dr. north from the 210 Fwy all the way to the end at the upper parking lot. From there we will take the single track that connects to the Wintercreek trail down into Santa Anita Canyon and back out to Chantry Flats. The loop is approximately 6 miles mostly single track. The trail is fairly technical and best done on a full suspension bike. There are 3 miles of climbing so I wouldn't suggest a big heavy bike. This ride will be entirely in the shade. We should easily be able to finish this ride in under 2 hours.

Then just like that, things get funky. Our phone system is down at the office so I am not going to make this. Paul the backup has lost his dog. Ben and Armando give me a shout before you head out! 310.230.5520

Yesterday was a goat rope. I reached Armondo before the event but actually had to meet Ben in the parking lot to get him started on the ride. It was all good. Bummed that none of you came to the BBQ! Next time - eh?
