Mt. Wilson Toll Road Gate (map)
Overview: While the Mount Wilson Toll Road isn't technical, unless you are barreling down it at 40 MPH, it is a relentless climb. *About* 14 miles long and some *4700'* elevation change. Lets climb from the base to Henniger Flats about 2700'. Time permitting we will go further. The idea is to keep the ride to 1.5 hours.
The Plan: Let's meet at the "Gate". Climb as fast as slow as you want. After an hour and 15 minutes turn around and head to HQ. When I turn around, I'll collect anyone behind me. Those in front - well - watch the clock. The idea is to leave no one on the mountain. If you have a radio, bring it 77.
Audibles: When El Prieto opens back up, I look forward to mixing it up between the two. Stay tuned.
The Trail: The Mount Wilson Toll road is a big fat fire road strewn with loose rocks and sand but it is a fire road. You'll have to Google the specs if you want them. If you are a strong Novice you will do fine.
