Why not learn how to tune up your bike with our in-house pro Chris Aragon and be able to tune your bike anytime you want to?

Chris Aragon, a working bicycle mechanic, will provide our members with a hands on clinic on how to work on your own bike. None of this REI "we will let you watch while we work on your bike" - no - you will turn the allen key, you will position components exactly where you want them. You will work on your bike until it is done.

At the end of this clinic your bike will be tuned - by you - and set up - by you - for your next ride.
Specifically you will learn how to:

• Wheel True (fix wobbly wheel)
  
• Properly lube your chain
  
• Adjust your brakes (all types)
  
• Adjust your front and rear derailleur
  
• Adjust wheel hubs
  
• Adjust bottom bracket
  
• Adjust your headset
  

We will also cover basic bicycle maintenance:

• How to fix a flat tire,
  
• how to properly adjust components on your bike to ensure proper fitting:
  
  
  • Handle Bars
    
  • Brake Levers
    
  • gear shifters
  
  
• How to determine proper tire inflation pressure
  
• How to proper set up your suspension based on your weight and riding environment
  
• And how to properly clean your bike

  YOU will be doing the work. We will supply the bike stand and tools for YOU to work on your own bike. At the end of the class, your bike will be tuned perfectly to your specifications by you.

  Limited to 7 We supply the tools and stand - you bring your bike and a can do attitude. We need a minimum of 6 people to power this event.
