Nobel Canyon

Update: 7 Jan 2PM Ashford - This ride is no longer a premium shuttle - so the ride is FREE. Please talk among yourselves to coordinate transportation.

We need to start at 7AM to get in three runs. If the consensus is a later start time we can flex. Please put the desired start time in your RSVP

Noble Canyon is considered to be one of the best trails around Southern California. It is technically difficult with narrow single track, nasty rocks and tight switchbacks. This ride takes you through three distinct ecosystems. You start out in alpine meadows and oak trees that transitions into typical Southern California chaparral and finally into the arid desert climate near the Anza-Borrego desert. . .

We are working on a ride profile page - standby.

Seems there's only Paul Fecht and me. Paul, Are you still coming? I need only one more to shuttle. Please let me know. I'm still in, also if it's better for you we can meet at 8:00 am instead of 7:00 am.

paul. i'd be up for shuttling San Juan or GMR on sunday. you can text me to let me know if you're up for either. 949-322-1614. otherwise, theres an up & back at GMR sunday at 9am i will do. after coming down i'll try to see if anyone wants to shuttle some additional runs.

So I don't see anyone putting out a plan for tomorrow. There are 7 people signed up without any plan?? I did trail work with CORBA today and am quite tired. I'd be good for tomorrow somewhere but only Chris G is saying anything. What about you other guys?

well, i think it boils down to who's riding.
-if we self-shuttle noble, i'd want to get in 2 runs.
-we can self-shuttle san juan 1x or 2x
-if we shuttle GMR i'd like to get in 3-4 runs
-mark has a nice XC ride but i think there is some street involved
-or i might up and back GMR or San Juan

thats a nice option mark...i'm prob doing el moro on sat so i'll get in my XC riding too. san juan was in such great shape last week it's hard to pass up another (2) runs down! paul, 4 is great but i can only fit 3 bikes max on my rack in case we want to do multiple runs. i did pick up the bar to make it easier to load your bike :)

chris at this point I don't know? GMR is an easy shuttle but if we do San Juan or Los Pinos I might be able to get 2 other guys? Paul Fecht who was going to do Nobel and a guy that lives in Elsinore. We can get 4 up in my car.

paul..do you want to do san juan again. if we get three people who can carry 3 bikes, we can self shuttle san juan 2x. or we can do the same at GMR

i agree wth your frustration paul. this is a very fun trail too. but a long way to go for 1 run down like i have done before. we'll have to actively recruit for this ride next time it comes up. i think a problem also comes in where folks dont want to pay for a shuttle...they need to understand that the shuttle is the best way to do this and get in more than one run down.

625 Gearheads and 6 sign up. Pathetic! Chris Ashfor is 1 so are we at 5? Like Chris I have an unused Mammoth season pass but opted to do this shuttle because multiple runs is awesome. Now we are left to fend for ourselves. 625 members and 5 sign up. Unbelievable.

so where are we with the noble run? are we going to self shuttle? will we be able to get in multiple runs? if not i'd be up for GMR or San Juan (up and back or shuttle)

I'm good with the 7 start. The more runs the better, after all I'm giving up skiing to do this-needs to be worth it.
